 “The Lads”

This one was a big challenge for me mentally. I have never been good at drawing from my imagination. It just isn’t something I am strong at. I always have big ideas in my head of artworks I want to create but I don’t have that ability to get that into paper, and often these artworks just remain in my head.

I however used many tools to create this one. I used still video footage from many videos to get the perfect side on angle. I also used 5 separate photos to get the bone structure, hair pattern and small details.
The light source is however just my imagination.

I hope you all love it as much as I do!
If you zoom in you will see the little details of dust and hair in the air as they tussle and scratch each other.

The original is a medium size sheet of colourfix 35x50cm
